Blogger Babes are stylin’ all over the map. Over 1,500 social media influencers, top beauty and fashion brands, and millennial trend followers from all over Southern California and beyond gathered at the The Hangar in the OC Fair & Event Center on Saturday, November 7, 2015 to celebrate StyleCon.
While I couldn’t make it, I’ve only heard wonderful things — some from
our very own Blogger Babes who attended. So, ladies — let’s recap!
Everyone Can Be Fashionable and Stylish
StyleCon was co-founded by Newport Beach entrepreneurs Robyn Grant and Irene Martino as a multi-faceted, interactive platform for all things style — trends, culture, beauty, fashion and fitness. Bringing together a community of fashionistas, beauty lovers, digital influencers, and style makers (there’s you!), StyleCon aims to connect them with exclusive brands and leading industry influencers.
We developed StyleCon to bring the concept of universal beauty and fashion to all style-conscious women. StyleCon reaches out to every woman — it transcends age, body type and other typical stereotypes and says ‘Everyone can be fashionable and stylish’ – and StyleCon is the place to discover that.

But that’s a pretty wide range of people, right? There was literally something for everyone at StyleCon! Attendees engaged with brands like Kendra Scott and Blushington through numerous style panels and fashion presentations, and even got to participate in lively meet and greets with savvy social media users, big bloggers, and leading influencers.
Plus, a special bonus: everyone received StyleTotes stuffed with lifestyle and beauty products valued at over $100. I want one!
Brands for Babes
Brand exhibitors at StyleCon really outdid each other in memorable boutique display design! But international fashion brand Topshop takes the cake with the 5,000 square foot “Pop-In” re-creation of their flagship Grove store. With dozens of mannequins in seasonal designs, Topshop was a delight for attendees both in vision and with all their goodies, especially their unique denim-distressing bar for custom, handcrafted denim designs.
On the beauty product side of things, Sleekhair was slick enough to set up a beauty bar with personalized pallets, product advice, and demonstrations all throughout the day. Sleekhair truly set the bar by bringing in industry experts like Schwarzkopf Professional, China Glaze, and Ardell Lash to provide complimentary services… Jealous! One lucky StyleCon was even transformed into a mermaid!
Back on land, NFL Juniors hosted an interactive green screen digital environment engaging attendees in video sports. Fans lined up to don NFL team inspired attire — scarves, hats, handbags — and received photographs placing them in personalized NFL environments.
And what about some luxurious living? Room & Board custom designed the StyleStage as a classy living room, complete with crystal chandeliers. You may have seen it here and there—throughout StyleCon, thirty plus bloggers, Instagrammers, and YouTubers gathered for panels including “Trending,” “The Business of Social Media,” and “Perfect Skin at Any Age.”
So maybe I wasn’t there… but that doesn’t mean every fashionista had to miss the moment!
Fitting with StyleCon’s focus on universal beauty and fashion for everyone, international plus size beauty sensation and super model Tess Holliday was mobbed with followers excited by her presence. One devotee declared:
I’m plus size – I don’t usually attend this kind of event as there is not much for girls like me. But with Tess here, I felt comfortable and included.
You may have seen Olivia Culpo as a judge on a certain pageant a few nights ago… and maybe you saw her at StyleCon, too! Olivia presented her hottest wardrobe trends for work, play, and party. Expert advice from Miss Universe 2012!
Sponsored by Adidas, Cambrie Schroder, an emerging lifestyle guru and fitness expert, showcased the Fit With Cambrie workout team and took to the StyleStage, emphasizing the importance of fitness and optimism.
Finally, television personality and two-time Emmy nominated E! News Fashion and Lifestyle Producer Kathryn Eisman spoke on the “Psychology of Style.” Her two international best-sellers, How to Tell a Man by His Shoes and How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag, have been published in 10 countries and are available in 15 languages.
What’s especially exciting about StyleCon is that it’s just getting started. StyleCon will continue to present across Southern California in the next few months, with plans to come east and even to international markets. So maybe I’ll see you there soon!
