Every Monday, Bloggerbabes.com will be presenting a Blogger Babe Of The Week, a featured blogger that we will interview to get to know what motivates her to blog.
Katie describes herself as a fashion fanatic. Her love of fashion started when she was little and she would dress up her Barbies. Now, she says, fashion is her full-blown addiction. Currently she attends the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County where she is doing a major in Merchandise Marketing.
She hopes to one day have a career doing what she loves, which would involve fashion, social media, and interior design.
Blogger Babes: When and why did you start a blog?
Katie: I started my blog about 3 and a half years ago, and it was completely random. I was watching Julie & Juliet and thought, “If she can start a blog, then I can too!” So I hopped online and started a blog. It wasn’t much at first, but it has become a sort of outlet for me, which I love!
Blogger Babes: What is your favorite thing about blogging and being a blogger?
Katie: My favorite thing about blogging would have to be the community and getting to network with such amazing people. I have met and become friends with some amazing girls. It has also given me some amazing opportunities that can help me with my career.
Blogger Babes: How would you describe your own personal fashion style?
Katie: I would say that my personal style is kind of a mix of everything. I wouldn’t say that I am “boho” or “edgy” or “girly” or “classic”. I have developed my own style and blended several different looks together to create something unique and that represents who I am as a person.
Blogger Babes: What is the best advice someone ever gave you about blogging?
Katie: The best advice I have been given didn’t come from one specific person, but it is just to be yourself. I think this is the most important thing to remember, because if you conform to how everyone else is blogging, you will not be unique and stand out in such a huge sea of bloggers.
Blogger Babes: How did it come about that you became a Lucky contributor?
Katie: From what I remember, I was watching the live feed from the Lucky FABB Conference in Spring 2012, and heard about the Lucky Community. I thought it would be a great opportunity, so I joined!
